Gensan
just got home from our 2-day trip to Gensan. so i slept late, i slept around 1 in the morning and woke up at 3 by then, you could say i was a bit excited about the trip so yeah! we took 3 vans so we could all fit, you can't blame us!we are a big family and that's not even the half of our family. on our way to Gensan was really really tiring, especially when you're riding with the kids, but it was a good kind of tired, it was tiring but fun.
so when we got to Gensan i thought we were headed straight to the hotel so we can drop off our bags, but we did not. we had breakfast in
Mcdonald's (just to check if the chicken tastes different compared to the chickens here in Davao! if it tastes like a fucking tuna). since we were too many, Mcdo has to open their function room so we could all fit and eat, and it felt like we had our own party going, and i'm pretty sure mcdo lost a lot of chicken that day coz i kept on asking for a chicken. so after satisfying our needs to eat breakfast we went straight to a beach resort i don't know what it's called so correct me if i'm wrong, i think it was Isla Jardin. when we got there (and by the way it was an hour and a half drive from the downtown area of Gensan, so it was a loooooong drive and by long drive i mean loooong time to hold on to my pee) there was no vacant cottage so we had to pay 50 pesos for the entrance fee, and we had to wait for people to go home, and by that we all knew that we were not getting any cottage real soon and if not soon then never. so we stayed under the trees and decided why not stay there it was better coz it was cooler than staying in a cottage so our problem was solved and the good thing about it was we only paid 50 pesos for the whole stay in that resort, so good job Gensan! we ate lunch and dinner at the resort wasn't really able to swim coz it was so damn hot! like really hot, i don't know if it was just me or Gensan is really hotter compared to Davao. so after packing away we had to take the way back to Gensan's downtown area to get to our hotel, and it wasn't a joke so it was like a 2-hour drive on our way to our hotel, can you imagine how tiring was that?
so when we arrived at the hotel, we were all tired and sloppy and everyone was just trying to rest on the sofa, and we occupied all the area in the lobby. so when we all got our room assignments well as hard headed as i can be i switch rooms. the moment i stepped in the room i took a bath, coz i have this thing about hotels that makes me all quirky. so took my bath and stayed there for 30 fucking long minutes and it was the best bath i had that day. so after taking a bath i took my book and read, then my sister turned the tv on and axn was on so i was hooked on the tv. then all of the kids went in our room to jump on the bed and play, it was fun. then my aunts and uncles started calling out my name to go down and join them so when i got down they where drinking beer and whiskey. so i sat down on one chair and started to join the group, they were all telling green jokes and i was there trying not to be awkward since i'm the youngest on that table talk (since my cousins are busy in their room playing dota and watching movies) to sum up the drinking session i had 3 shots of whiskey and 4 bottles of beer and yes that didn't get me drunk coz i stood up and walked away from the table to get my ipad and take some videos coz i know they weren't gonna stop drinking till 4 in the morning. and i really wanted to wake up early for the scenery and of course breakfast.
early morning the next day my sister woke me up and told me it's time to eat, so i took my bath and then went straight to the buffet. when i got there all my family was there already and again we did occupy the whole fucking place coz we are too many, and it was fun coz we all seemed to own the place. so after eating breakfast we decided not to go anywhere anymore and just stay there till 1 in the afternoon. so when everyone was prepping and taking naps i went straight to the restaurant and ordered banana-mango shake (since they don't have any white wines) and i enjoyed staying in the garden with the over looking view of Gensan's famous sea by myself. i felt like i was a fucking billionaire and i fucking own the place. after finishing my shake i went back to my room and took a nap, then my sister woke me up and told me that it was time to leave.
before leaving we went to the very famous eating hub in Gensan, which is what? Chowking! it was a good friday and jollibee and chowking were the only stores open and everyone wanted to eat something cold since it's really hot in Gensan, i didn't know that Gensan actually feels like a fucking desert. but we were all good when we got to chowking we got drowned in a pile chicken coz we ordered 32 pieces of chickens! yes 32! fucking 32! and it was damn big!! like if you eat two pieces it feels like you're eating a whole part of a chicken. but we were all full before heading back to Davao. i didn't sleep the whole trip back home. and we all had our dinner back at our house in Bangkal. it wasn't a stressful trip, everyone was still hype when we got home, we had tea in the garden and had a talked about life. then when it was time to go home, my mum asked me to drive my aunt home to Mandug. then when we got home it felt nice to go home in clean house since we cleaned it before leaving.
didn't take pictures (not that much) coz i was busy taking videos of everyone and mostly myself. will post the video here (most prolly) but in a different entry and different content.
